Instructions
- Mix everything together except 1 cup sugar and the fruit/rhubarb and put in bottom of greased 9x9 pan. (Caution! An 8x8 pan will likely be too small and overflow!)
- Put 3 cups sliced fruit over the top.
- Mix 1 cup hot water with remaining 1 cup sugar and pour over the top of everything. (This is going to seem very strange, but it works!)
- Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min to 1 hour, or until turning brown on top. Serve warm with ice cream.
Recipe Notes
If you're short on rhubarb or would like to try something different, mix multiple fruits such as rhubarb with strawberries, or rhubarb with apples. As long as you have 3 cups total, it will work.
